| Saturday couldn't have been lovelier as RTP volunteers from Wharton and Penn launched RTP's spring Block Build in Walnut Hill (West Philadelphia). More than 20 homeowners will be helped in this neighborhood this spring in conjunction with the Enterprise Center CDC's revitalization efforts. All told throughout the region, RTP volunteers will undertake Critical Repairs, Energy Efficiency, and Safe & Healthy Home projects for 50+ homeowners by June 30. Their certification is the first step toward RTP's response to new EPA legislation, which raises industry standards in lead-based paint removal. It's also consistent with RTP's elevated efforts to practice green renovation and ensure Safe & Healthy Homes for both homeowners and volunteers. Learn more. |
Three student teams are consulting with RTP to help advance its goals. University of Delaware seniors are developing a strategy to build RTP's Facebook community. One group from Social Impact Consulting at Penn is refining a financial management system. Another group is recommending next steps for securing office and operations space.
